It is the mission of Greenville Elementary Media Center to inspire a passion for knowledge, appreciation for literature, and a love of reading. The library seeks to create a safe and nurturing environment, which students will acquire the literacy skills necessary for success in the 21st century.

The mission is accomplished by:

Stimulating interest in reading both for pleasure and information enabling students to become life-long readers and learners.

Providing quality resources in a variety of formats and media to assist students in exploring possibilities, broadening their prospective, and making informed skillful choices.

Enriching and supporting the educational objectives of the school curriculum through a variety of resources, strategies, and collaboration.

Promoting the use of the media center by students and faculty to be an integral part of Greenville Elementary School and the community.
